In our Spring 2004 Newsletter, Access, we posed the question... Can you place this photo?
It dates from the 1960s, and yes, the site is now part of the SU campus.
Here's the photo as it appeared in the newsletter.
Here's a hint - you're nearer to South Campus than North!
It is the former Evans Dairy on Colvin Street. Here's another view of the house and buildings - including the 24 hour milk dispenser to the left of the cars.
We even have a plot plan of the dairy from 1958. The house is at the left and that's Lancaster Avenue at the far right.
The collection also includes this older shot, taken before the newer brick Dairy building was constructed. One can clearly see Lancaster Avenue at the right. The back of the photograph states that the small building on the right was the old Rose School.
And finally, here's what the location looks Like now! This is the soccer stadium on the north side of Colvin St., east of Manley Field House. The line of trees at the right borders Lancaster Ave. (see the plot plan above). The Evans house stood close to the foot of Skytop Road .
