The Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award recognizes a Syracuse University professor who has not only exemplified an exceptional talent for teaching, but who has also developed nurturing relationships with his/her students through counseling, mentoring, sound direction and advice. This award is a recognition of distinction and dedication in teaching and is presented during Homecoming Weekend each year.
