Notes:

DellPlain Hall is named for Dr. Morse O. DellPlain, President of Welsbach Engineering and Management Corporation, Class of 1905, who served as a University Trustee (1956-1962) and was active in alumni affairs and in the building and development fund campaigns. He was awarded a Doctor of Engineering degree, honoris causa, in 1951.

DellPlain Hall was the twenty-fourth building to be completed since 1946. It was the eleventh dormitory and the sixth's men's dormitory. Mrs. DellPlain cut the orange ribbon at the dedication ceremony, then Mr. DellPlain unlocked the door, officially "opening" the dormitory. DellPlain was built with funds provided by the Housing and Home Finance Agency of the United States Government. The eight-story, raise brick wall (decorative) DellPlain Hall houses nearly 500 students. DellPlain began as a dormitory for freshman male students but has since been converted to co-ed (1971) and offers accommodations for upper and lower-class undergraduates.

DellPlain offers two types of rooms: double and split-double. Each floor was equipped with a kitchenette and a study room. DellPlain Hall also housed a library, student lounge, laundry room, recreation room, and hobby room.
