Notes:
The Lora and Alfred Flanagan Gymnasium was built after a University Senate survey found that recreational facilities on campus had not kept pace with increasing student interest in fitness and health. It contains 3 basketball courts, 10 racquetball courts, a matted aerobics and exercise area, and the wrestling team's headquarters. It is accessible only through Archbold Gym via the bridge/lounge connecting the two structures.
Flanagan Gym was built in conjunction with a $1.8 million refurbishment of Archbold Gym which remodeled to the older facility's gymnastics room and expanded its locker rooms. The first people to use Flanagan gym when it opened on October 30, 1989 were Chancellor Eggers and Recreation Services director Nick Wetter, who took part in an 8 a.m. squash game.
