Notes:

Attempts to have the building approved took eleven months. In October 1935 the city of Syracuse refused to float a bond issue on a loan and grant offered by the PWA and WPA to build a Medical Center. A loan of $825,000.00 was given to the University for its construction by the PWA. The building was part of the University's 50-year plan.

Syracuse University gave up its medical school in 1950 in favor of the State of New York's School.
