Sawyer Falk Biography:

Sawyer Falk received a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University. He then received his Master of Arts degree from Cplumbia University. He began teaching at Columbia in 1922 where he stayed until 1924 when he moved to Hilssdale College in Michigan in 1924. After several years at Hillsdale he became the director of Drama at Syracuse University in 1927, a position which he held until his death in 1961. While at Syracuse Sawyer was on the Board of Directors for the American National Theatre and Academy. He was elected president of the National Theatre Conference for a two year term. In 1952 he was elected vice-president of the American National Theatre and Academy. Between 1957 and 1959 Sawyer did work as a Consultant Specialist in Drama to India, Turkey, Greece, and Israel for the United States State Department. Sawyer Falk was 63 when he passed in Paris, France.
