Faculty Papers: Eunice Hilton
Martha Eunice Hilton, who preferred to be called by her middle name, Eunice, was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on November 19, 1899. She was the first woman to earn her PhD in Syracuse University's Teachers' College in 1934.
Eunice continued on to be Syracuse University's Dean of Women from 1936 - 1949, Dean of Home Economics from 1949 - 1958, and she directed the Student Dean Program for the duration of her years at Syracuse.
Her papers include her office files as Dean of Women and her personal papers, which range from the years 1930 - 1970. The collection consists of 45 5" boxes. This finding aid was prepared by Amanda Galvin.
