Documenting the Careers of Staff
On occasion the Syracuse University Archives accepts for deposit the papers of University staff.
The Archives does not have the capability to accept for deposit the personal and family papers of staff members. The Archives will however assist staff in finding a proper home for those types of materials.
The following are the types of records that are usually sought by the University Archives to document the careers of prominent staff members.
- Biographical Material: Resumes, vitae, bibliographies, biographical and autobiographical sketches, chronologies, genealogies, newspaper clippings, and memoirs
- Committee Records: Correspondence, reports and other data related to work done for the University that is not passed on to a successor or deposited as part of the department office files.
- Photographs: Prints, negatives, and slides related to Syracuse University, with identifying information
- Memorabilia related to Syracuse University
