MEETING MINUTES – On a motion by Ed Galvin, seconded by Eileen Keating, and carried by unanimous vote, the minutes from the July 12, 2007 meeting were accepted as submitted.
BOARD RESIGNATION - Deb Montanta has submitted her resignation from the CNY ARMA board effective July 31, 2007. Deb has accepted a job in NY City. She plans to continue her membership in the CNY chapter as well as joining the Metro NY chapter.
COTY – Dave spoke to Trevor Mitchell at ARMA HQ regarding Chapter Member of the Year criteria. The measurement of the criteria for meetings for a small chapter like ours focuses more on the quality of the programs put together for the year vs. the quantity. Dave feels with what we have planned, we should be able to put together a good submission for the award based on how we promote & demonstrate RIM throughout the year. Steve suggested that the Board look at requirements and divide duties amongst board members to track data throughout the year so creation of the final submission documentation isn’t arduous.
BROCHURE – The group reviewed the revised brochure that Dave had e-mailed and made the following suggestions:
- Move Saratoga piece to center and move toolbox over with the meeting dates.
- Define RIM.
- Better explain what ARMA & chapter is – are you experiencing these problems, do you need help with… put inside near toolbox.
- Membership Chair/ VP – Do not list as open if using as a marketing piece to CEO’s, etc.
SEPTEMBER MEETING – Scheduled for 9/12 – Holiday Inn (changing to the Ramada), Cortland. Ed Becker has reserved the date for us. Jackie will ask Ed Becker to do that. Cost will be $10 per person. We still don’t have a sponsor (Dianne will check into this.) Dianne is putting the presentation together.
