In January 2007, the University Archives mounted an exhibition, Dancing on Cobblestones: The Photography of Gerda Peterich." The exhibition ran in the Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center until May.

"Pictures have a purpose, photographs more so than paintings. Most photographs are made for the purpose of communicating facts, of showing the otherwise unseen... the intimate detail that our eyes would pass over otherwise."
