“SUNY ESF and SU: 100 Years of Collaboration”

Intro Image

A sampling of this online exhibit may be viewed in the Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center from January to May 2011.

With the founding and ongoing development of the New York State College of Forestry at Syracuse University "the fortunes of the two institutions have been inextricably woven into a common academic pattern". From Chancellor James Roscoe Day who first conceived the idea, to Syracuse University which supplied most of the first students and shared its resources, to the continuing outreach down through the decades between students and faculty of both University and College, the collaboration remains a proud partnership into the second century.

The Syracuse University Archives is pleased to offer a glimpse into this continuing partnership with photographs, documents and other materials that highlight the symbiotic relationship that has endured for 100 years.

~ Exhibition was curated by Mary O'Brien and Meg Mason.
