Using the Pan Am Flight 103 Archives at the Syracuse University Archives


The Pan Am Flight 103 Archives is open to all members of the Syracuse University community as well as the general public. Materials from the Archives do not circulate and therefore must be used in the Reading Room on the sixth floor of Bird Library. The Reading Room is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with extended hours until 7 pm Tuesday and Thursday during spring and fall semesters. It is shared with the Special Collections Research Center (SCRC). Please read SCRC's procedures before your visit as they apply to both SCRC and the Archives.

Collection finding aids and indexes are available upon request. Some finding aids are available on-line.


Some collections or materials have been restricted by the donor. Please contact the Archives to determine if particular records you wish to use have any access restrictions.

Making a Reference Request

The Archives staff accepts inquiries regarding the collections and information related to Pan Am Flight 103. The Archives will assist faculty/staff, students, researchers, and the general public with queries. Priority is given to family members and friends of victims, but all requests will be answered as quickly as possible.

Reproduction and Permissions
